Alien Registration
Under Ministry of Justice guidelines, any foreign national who stays in Korea for 3 months or longer must complete Alien Registration within 90 days of entry. This applies regardless of status of stay. Late or non-registration may restrict domestic stay and future visa issuance.
If you hold a single-entry visa and leave Korea during the semester, you must possess an Alien Registration Card (ARC) to re-enter with your D-4 status maintained.
If you depart without an ARC, your single-entry visa becomes invalid regardless of the remaining stay period, and you may face entry restrictions and the need for a new visa.
