Dept. of East Asian Studies & Logistics
Alvin Toffler says that the new order of the 21st century will be “Asia-Pacific” centered on East Asia, not globalization centered on Wall Street in the United States, and wealth and power will move to Asia. When analyzing the share of free trade areas in the global economy, the share of ASEAN+3 countries (Korea, Japan, China) (23) and the share of Europe (27) are almost the same. Therefore, East Asian trade and logistics are very important. The Faculty of East Asian Logistics cultivates experts who can respond actively to the global logistics market beyond East Asia in response to these global trends. The Dept. of East Asian Studies & Logistics is building a differentiated major curriculum that can cultivate not only English but also the ability to understand languages and cultures in East Asia. Also we operate the International Logistics Major and the Distribution Logistics Major, and offer a common curriculum so that students can acquire dual degrees to produce global talents who can be active in the world beyond East Asia.
